AI can be helpful for idea generation. But when it comes to resumes and LinkedIn, AI can’t tell YOUR story. It can’t identify your unique strengths, skills, superpowers, value, or impact. The resume and LinkedIn profile must be easy to read and showcase your value and experience clearly – to humans (HR and hiring managers) while using keywords and phrases for the algorithms in systems.

Perhaps, like many people I speak with, you share your resume with friends, family, colleagues, or recruiters you trust.  You quickly discover, as one of my colleagues used to say, “Resumes are like hairstyles. Everyone has an opinion on yours.” Even people with hiring experience and the best of intentions aren’t trained and experienced in the art and craft of positioning, resume writing, or the LinkedIn algorithm.
